Natural stone countertop
About the material
A recurring feature at the more flamboyant and luxurious end of design history, the classic and solid marble countertop makes an eye-catching addition to your kitchen space. Marble is created when limestone is compressed and this process creates the unique veins that give the material its characteristic and stylish appearance.
Good to know
The relatively cold surface makes the material ideal for cooking. Due to the fact that marble is a limestone, the material is unable to withstand acidity, which means that moisture and residue from lemons or vinegar should be wiped off the surface quickly to prevent discoloration in the countertop.
Care and maintenance
Cleaning of the surface should be carried out with pH neutral detergent. For optimal results, use a natural stone/marble cleaner.
